Princess Cruise Lines

Traditionally world cruises lines aimed their marketing efforts toward adults and seniors in particular, but today cruise lines have felt the need to cater to the vacation needs of families as well. Princess has organized special event dinners; where the kids eat together, pajama parties, tours of different areas of the ships, treasure hunts and they even have a teen center where kids can enjoy video games and movies. Princess has ramped up its kids attractions by offering many special events for kids, such as wildlife exploration which they will love. The age of the kids will determine which attractions they can participate in, but with the standard amenities, special events and attractions just for kids, they will have a great time on the cruise.

Disney Cruise Lines

Among world cruise lines who can be better equipped to provide for the vacation needs of families then Disney Cruise Lines. Besides offering discounts for kid's fares, they have provided internet cafes, science workshops and a private lounge for the teens. Kids can even participate in a special Mouseketeer workshop while on the cruise. Disney also staffs the ship with trained and dedicated counselors to supervise the kids during their time away from Mom and Dad. Special exhibitions, tours and classes throughout the ship are made available to the kids as well. Parents are always able to communicate with the kids by cell phone or specially issued beepers provided by Disney when they board the ship.

Norwegian Cruise Lines

As luxury world cruise lines get on board with the trend of providing more attractions for families and specifically more for kids, Norwegian is providing more for their younger passengers also. By providing a safe and supervised environment with trained counselors, kids aboard for the cruise can participate in many peer lead activities. With Norwegian's freestyle cruising program, families can sit down and dine together at a time that is convenient for all of them; not just for the galley. Special events, exhibitions, movies, or arts and crafts classes are provided throughout the cruise itinerary. Teens can also enjoy special dances, pizza parties and contests that round out the activities.

Royal Caribbean

With world cruise lines desiring to attract more families to their cruise lines it was inevitable they would have to build more kid friendly activities into their ship's infrastructure. Royal has gone all out with their ice skating rink, rock climbing wall and teen youth center. Educational opportunities for the kids are made available as well. For the younger kids supervised activities are made available that let the kids explore ocean science, animal exhibits and participate in organized water events together. Royal has provided the perfect itinerary for adults to relax while the kids also have fun.

Carnival

When upscale world cruise lines provide reasonable fares like Carnival they will naturally attract more families seeking to take a cruise for their vacation. Carnival keeps it ear to the ground and provides the younger passengers with plenty of activities to ensure their stay will be full of excitement and energy. Offering the kids creative activities such as cooking classes, talent competitions or arts and crafts has proved successful in providing an enjoyable cruise for the kids. The cruise line also organizes events just for teens such as dances, pizza parties and special shore excursions. Special itineraries throughout the cruise help to make family vacation time fun and memorable.
