During this type of cruise, you only stay on the water without stopping at ports of call along the way like with a typical cruise. Unlike cruises that stop at different ports of call, the cruise only cruise will be in the water the entire time, which means that you have the freedom to stay on the ship for the entire cruise. Some people prefer to be aboard ship for the entire cruise but are forced to take day excursions. - Look for off season specials. Many travel companies will greatly reduce the cost of cruises that are taken during the "off" season of the year - which is typically in the winter months for most cruise destinations, including cruise only cruises.
