Our most recent cruise was aboard the Princess Cruise Lines ship, the "Golden. Our route included the tropical southern Caribbean. This overview is a review article in a series of our Golden Princess Southern Caribbean Cruise. First, let me first explain why we chosen this particular cruise.
We were celebrating a very special birthday. This celebration was for our children (in their mid to late 20s) and areOur parents (up to 85 years old). We wanted to make a cruise line that would be the activity needs of our children, yet elegant enough to add fun to our parents.
Princess Cruise Lines seemed to be a logical consequence. The date for our trip was something solid that was the birth date with the cruise dates will be. Our attitude to take was a Southern Caribbean Cruise, the Aruba, St. Thomas and St. Kitts included. It happenedthat the magnificent Golden Princess sailed the route to the desired data.
Our journey began in the port of San Juan, Puerto Rico. It meant to reach a fairly long flight with a stop-over to San Juan. The flight segments, however, very smooth and uneventful. From the airport we had a short bus ride to the cruise terminal.
There were the usual line-ups through customs and check-in with the princess in the terminal. This seemed Pass fast enough where some of the other trips we enjoyed.
The Golden Princess had its maiden voyage in May 2001. This meant that she was 5 years old at the time of our trip. Once on a recent cruise ship, at her age was to make something clear, but her majesty overshadowed her age.
The trip was a very smooth sail to other Caribbean cruises, we have compared to us. With so many stations a week> Become a cruise, the distances between the ports for a mostly leisurely run.
The ports of call were all interesting. Some were still rebuilding after the hurricane damage. We tend to be "beach babies want the sun and surf as often as possible to enjoy, but on this route, we drove to a beach that only twice and one of those times was close to the cruise port. Our ports of call include San Juan , St. Thomas, St. Kitts, Grenada, Isla Margarita and Aruba.
We found thisCruises are more "aggressive" that we were in port so quickly and so often that we really never seen the whole ship. Of course we are mad a point to try to see all public areas, but apparently failed to mention a few.
The weather was cloudy with some rain, although a few days, great. Mid to high 80's every day, we went on a sunny vacation.
The cabin we chose had a balcony room. They were all on the same side of the ship with two groups of threeBalconies attached. It was great. With the opening of doors between the balconies could, as we should we meet at a cabin or resort.
The birthday celebration was wonderful. Room service delivered vegetables and dip, fruit bowls, trays, cheese nachos and dip and drinks at our booth. There was plenty of room on the balcony for the eleven of us sit and enjoy the food.
In all, this was not the most elegant cruise ship that we have been, but it has all theAmenities and activities necessary to adapt to our broad age range. He sold the children safe on a cruise vacation.
